No More Audioblogging

OK, I've been meaning to post this for several weeks. Blogger no longer supports the Audioblog functionality (i.e., use a telephone to call in and create audio posts). So, now I need to figure out what to do with this blog, which merely supplemented my main blog. Gah!

Baby Gift Registry Adventure

On Saturday, Sharon and I began our adventure in setting up our baby gift registry at Babies-R-Us.

Pregnancy Checkup - 16 Weeks

Sharon and I went to our 16 week checkup for our pregnancy. The doctor said everything seems good and even let us record the heartbeat when he listened to it using a doppler unit. It's a beautiful sound I love to hear!

Grace's and Cristian's Wedding - Part 2

Man, what a fun wedding! The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was a blast!Since this was essentially an international wedding, the people at our table were from Spain, Switzerland, Germany...and of course the USA. Danna and Steve sat at our table, as did Cristian's sister and her husband. The meal was scrumptious. The company was great. The bar was free. And we danced (well, I did a little anyway). And of course, watching Grace and Cristian dance was amazing!

So...after the reception was over, we went back to our room for a another glass of wine and then headed to Grace's and Cristian's suite for the party after the party. The audio post below is from just before we went to the suite...

Grace's and Cristian's Wedding - Part 1

Another week, another wedding! Our friends Grace and Cristian got married on Saturday, August 20th at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. We traveled into the city with our friends Danna and Steve on Saturday morning, taking the Metro North from New Haven into Grand Central Station.

After checking into the Waldorf, we went down the street for lunch (a mere $20 per couple for a cheap lunch - ouch!). Man, was it delicious! Then, since we didn't know whether the wedding reception would be open bar - and the courtesy drinks in the room were ridiculously priced ($7 for a can of Budweiser) - we went on a hunt for a liquor store. We wandered all around and finally found one after about an hour and bought a few...um...items. Incidentally, we found out on Sunday that there was a liquor store right next to the restaurant where we ate lunch (sigh).

Anyway, the audio post below takes place after the liquor store hunt and before the wedding ceremony.

Karen's Wedding

We traveled to Allentown, PA for Sharon's cousin's wedding this past weekend. I had hoped to get more audio, but here's a quick post I made just before the wedding ceremony.

A Fun Day
